Two Handed Sword
This mighty two-handed Broadsword with wooden handle is a purely Irish design and has a pommel constructed as a ring with the tang passing through the centre.
This is a very weighty reproduction and is in the style of the ancient Irish Celts who had a knowledge of iron working long before the rest of Britain. With this knowledge they came to power and remained fierce and proud warriors until the coming of the Roman Legions and the Vikings. Actually the Romans never ventured to occupy an outpost in Ireland, they were deterred by the ferocity of the Irish Sea and also fearful of the magic practised there.
