Comlongon ~ Scottish Thistle & English Rose
 

It is hardly surprising that this is the most popular cake choice for couples getting married at Comlongon Castle near Gretna.   This time the bride's hand-made sugar flowers were blood red roses and Scottish thistles.  The cake can also be made as a three or four tier version, for larger celebrations.

"We just wanted to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for our beautiful cake you delivered on our wedding day at Comlongon Castle.  Everybody loved the fact it had 3 different flavoured tiers and even our relatives argued that it was impossible that a fruit cake could sit on a sponge cake!!!

Despite us ordering more cake than was actually needed, it disappeared very quickly, as everyone thought it tasted so beautiful and kept coming back for more.

We have kept the cake flowers, which we hope to preserve in my keepsake wedding box.
