Minas Tirith During the war of the Ring Sauron's evil forces besieged Minas Tirith. After the downfall of Sauron, Aragorn was crowned King on the 1st. May. He found a sapling of the White Tree on Mount Mindolluin and planted it in the Court of the Fountain where it blossomed with white flowers. Arwen came to Minas Tirith and married Aragorn on midyear's day.
"In his time the city was made
more fair than it has ever been, even in the days of its first glory;
and it was filled with trees and with fountains, and its gates were
wrought of mithril and steel, and its streets were paved with white
marble; and the Folk of the mountain laboured in it; and the Folk of the
wood rejoiced to come there; and all was healed and made good, and the
houses were filled with men and women and the;laughter of children..."

Gondor! Gondor, between the Mountains and the Sea!
West Wind blow there; the light upon the Silver Tree
Fell like bright rain in gardens of the Kings of old.
O proud walls! White towers! O winged crown and throne of gold!
O Gondor, Gondor! Shall Men behold the Silver Tree,
Or West Wind blow again between the Mountains and the Sea?
